Premium Garment Cleaning & Care

Cleaning Based on Brand, Fabric, Color, Stains, and Care Labels

1. Standard Cleaning
For garments made of regular fabrics with typical stains and styles/colors.
Example: Light-colored cotton tops or home wear without special stains can be machine-washed using professional water-based washers.

YOUNGER Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for Machine Wash:
Pre-wash → Main wash → Rinse → Rinse → Softening treatment

2. Special Cleaning
For garments with special stains, discoloration, dye transfer, aged stains, pet hair, or waste contamination. These require the expertise of experienced cleaners and garment finishers, with longer turnaround times and higher risk.

Example 1: Wool coats or silk garments stained with red wine require special water-based cleaning as dry cleaning is ineffective.

SOP for Special Water-Based Cleaning:
Targeted stain removal → Gentle wash → Rinse → Rinse → Softening treatment

Example 2: Mold, yellowing, or deep stains from long storage require soaking and hand washing.

SOP for Soak Wash Special Treatment:
Targeted stain removal → Soak and hand wash → Rinse → Rinse → Softening treatment

3. Delicate Cleaning
For luxury brands, special fabrics, intricate styles, or multi-color items. Typically requires hand washing only, done by experienced technicians due to high risk.

Examples: Shiatzy Chen silk garments, multi-colored fashion pieces, sequin-covered clothing.

SOP for Delicate Cleaning:
Targeted stain removal → Hand gentle wash → Rinse → Rinse → Softening treatment

Designer Handbag Cleaning & Care

With experience servicing tens of thousands of luxury handbags, YOUNGER provides expert-level care for both leather and fabric designer bags.

Common Fabric Types:

  1. Jacquard
  2. Denim
  3. Printed
  4. Waterproof PU

All except waterproof PU are susceptible to staining and damage from colored liquids. DIY cleaning can cause dye transfer or fading, especially in mixed-material bags (leather and fabric).

Tip: Apply a water/stain-repellent spray designed for fabric bags to extend longevity.

Leather Handbag Cleaning Methods:

1. Spot Cleaning:
Manual inch-by-inch cleaning using custom formulas, followed by steam sanitization and air drying.
Risks: Chemical residues can react with bag materials, causing damage or uneven coloration.

2. Full-Hand Clean & Restore:
Complete hand-cleaning with suitable solvents, starting with spot treatment, followed by uniform cleaning, repair, recoloring, and stain-proofing. Requires professional tools, knowledge, and experience.

Shoe Cleaning & Maintenance

Shoes are part of daily life, whether comfortable, stylish, branded, or collectible—and all need care.

Canvas Shoes:

  • Check for sole separation (usually at flex points).
  • Yellowing from oxidation won’t fully restore.
  • Smooth vs. rough textures affect paint adhesion.
  • Price: NT$200–250. Toe: NT$100, Side: NT$200, Full: NT$300.

Sneakers:

  • Mesh stains and glue failures are common.
  • Glue repairs: NT$100–200. Sole replacement (if oxidized): NT$800–1500.

Suede Sneakers:

  • Watch for wear, discoloration, and material blends.
  • Cleaning: NT$250–500. Full dyeing: NT$600.

Leather Shoes:

  • Check for cracked soles and peeling leather.
  • Some damage is irreversible.
  • Cleaning: NT$200.

Mid/Long Suede Boots:

  • Post-cleaning colors may lighten or brighten.
  • Mid: NT$300–400, Long: NT$400–500.

Quick Tips:

  • Replace worn insoles with leather, latex, PU, etc.
  • Air-dry shoes in shaded areas.
  • Avoid light socks with dark-lined new shoes to prevent staining.

Curtain Cleaning & Maintenance

Tips:

  1. Dust regularly with vacuum or duster every 1–2 weeks.
  2. Wash every 6 months to prolong lifespan.
  3. Avoid direct sunlight to prevent fabric damage.
  4. Curtains with embellishments (tassels, trims) should be professionally cleaned.
  5. Special fabrics (back-coated, knit) require professional handling.

Risks: Prolonged hanging and sun exposure may cause fading, fraying, or tearing after wash.

Before Sending Curtains for Cleaning:

  • Remove hooks (metal or plastic) to prevent fabric damage.
  • Vacuum surface dust before taking down curtains.
  • Repair tears before washing.
  • Inform staff of any pre-existing damage.
  • Regular curtain cleaning improves overall home hygiene.

Water-Based Healthy Washing

Many customers have expressed dissatisfaction with traditional laundry methods—color inconsistency after washing, petrochemical odors, or insufficient stain removal.

YOUNGER exclusively uses water-based, health-focused washing:

a. Clothes are sorted by fabric, color, and delicacy before washing.
b. Stains are pre-treated accordingly.
c. Equipment is selected based on material needs.
d. Uses clean water and natural plant-based soaps.
e. Low-temp drying followed by shaping and pressing.

Benefits: Fresh, clean, odor-free garments with no petrochemical residue. Though time-intensive, the results are healthy, eco-friendly, and satisfying.

Reminders:

  • Bring stained garments in promptly. Avoid DIY attempts that complicate stain removal.
  • Clean and maintain all clothes before seasonal storage.
  • In Taiwan’s humid climate, store garments in ventilated or dehumidified spaces.
  • Cleaning Knowledge
Why do dry-cleaned clothes often have a strange odor?
This smell is typically caused by residues from petrochemical-based solvents used in the dry-cleaning process.
Why do many stains remain on clothes even after dry cleaning?
Dry cleaning with petroleum-based solvents is primarily effective for removing oily stains (e.g., engine oil).
However, water-based stains or pigment-based stains (e.g., red wine, coffee, cola) cannot be removed through this method. These require water-based healthy washing to be effectively cleaned.
Can all stains on clothes be removed?
In principle, yes—but only with the correct knowledge and methods for cleaning branded garments.

    • Do not trust home remedies. Attempting to treat stubborn stains like oil, red wine, ink, or yellowing at home can cause permanent damage and fiber breakdown. Always entrust such garments to professionals to avoid irreversible harm.
  • Why don’t regular home clothes always come out clean?
Besides avoiding the common mistakes mentioned above, correct washing methods are essential:

    • a. Inspect clothing before washing
    • b. Pre-treat stubborn stains with spot brushing or rubbing
    • c. Sort laundry by color before washing
    • d. Follow a proper washing sequence:
      Pre-wash → Main wash → Rinse 1 → Rinse 2 → Softening treatment
